SUSAN MULLEN SPENGLER

Susan Spengler is a contemporary artist whose passion for the outdoors translates vividly to her colorful canvases. Painting outside, and from photos in her studio, she attempts to capture and intensify the effects of color in sunlight and shade. She works primarily in oils, sometimes mixing in elements of other media such as acrylic and pastel.

Graduating from WheatonCollege with a B.S. in Biology, Susan began painting in the late 1960’s. She studied with numerous fine artists at the Somerset Art Association in New Jersey and at the Lyme Academy of Fine Arts in Old Lyme, CT.

Susan is widely represented in Vermont and Connecticut, with her work appearing in many inns and restaurants throughout New England. She works from a studio in her home on Coldbrook Rd in WilmingtonVT.
