BEARS IN THE VALLEY – ARTIST BIOGRAPHY
PAMELA BEDSON
Watercolorist Pamela Bedson paints Vermont scenes with first-hand experience and personal sensitivity; she was born and raised here in the GreenMountainState. Mostly self-taught, she studied with the late Julia Banks Bryce of Marlboro in the early 1980’s. Today, her paintings reflect a genuine ‘sense of place’ as she captures with ease the austere qualities and true flavor of rural New England. She also paints “interior vignettes”. One such series is comprised of a selection of paintings that illustrate the fine appointments of the Inn at Saw Mill Farm in West Dover, Vermont. These images were reproduced for the Inn’s brochure and are currently displayed in the establishment as part of the Inn’s fine art collection of original paintings.
During her 25 years of living and working in the DeerfieldValley, Pam’s artwork was represented by the SnowDen Gallery in West Dover, her own Artworks Studio and Gallery in West Dover, and Kaos Gallery K Baker Studios in Wilmington. Pam now lives in the Northeast Kingdom of Vermont, where she is available for commissioned work.
